i have a 1994 f150 XLT 2wd that is in the process of becoming a mud bug. Nothing super serious, but the general fun stuff. My question is does anyone know of a kit or a way to put front tow hooks on? I've seen many a person stuck that have take hours to pull out instead of minutes bec of not having tow hooks in the front. also, am i gonna have to end up cutting holes in my bumper and what will that do as far as brush guard is concerned? Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Just grab some generic tow hooks and locate a suitable hole on the bottom of the frame and bolt them up, be sure to use high strength bolts though. If you don't care for the bolt on method break out the welder. You should be able to get a brush guard for your truck without to much trouble.
get a regular pusbar...get a good one and reinforce it and it does fine.....look at my truck for ref....one of the pics i am using em if you look carefully.....just dont put tooooo much stress on em.....but they will work fine to get out of the mud or to pull people out.....but if you have a 2x4...i would pull from the rear anyway.....https://www.ford-trucks.com/pictorial/big/1986_f150_6.html
