I second getting one from International, Ford, or from DP TUNER, they have black International ones for a great deal.

Yes the CPS can and has failed on many a truck without throwing a code... I believe if you disconnect the batts for a good amount of time the computer will automatically clear the codes... But that is kinda irreverent since doing that can cause a 603 code... My truck had CPS issues and never threw a code for it but when i scanned to see if there was anything there was a 603 in there because of my bully dog.
