Ok. I have a 351M that I am currently buildin, I put a set of hooker headers on it, now i cant get my dipstick to weave through. Has anyone out there had this problem before, and if so what did you do?

 

I had to reshape my dipstick tube when I installed my Sanderson headers. As it is I must remove the whole assembly in order to remove the header from the engine. It is make of a soft steel so just work it carefully until you get the shape right so 1 it will clear the headers and 2 it will screw into the side of the pan.

 

Thanks, im gonna give that a shot without cracking the powder coating on it. If i do oh well.

 

Just to be sure, you are putting it down through the first and 2nd pipe right ? It should bolt to the # 5 exhaust header bolt. If you try to feed it down after the 2nd pipe it won't fit right.
