Help with info. I have an 80 F-250 4x4 with a 351m motor and 4 speed. I just put long tube headers on and the oil dipstick tube had to altered to accommodate the headers. Problem is dipstick won't go all the way into pan. I've looked at Lokar products and can't seem to find the right application Need some ideas or info on locating dipstick that will work
Can't get it past the last bend. Kind of two quick opposite 45 degree bends. Still have two more to play with, but a pain taking header on and off. Front clip is off,so access is good.
I think your effort to make it "nice" is messing it up. I never had two 45 degree bends, I just sort of swung it out of the way. The dipstick is not going to like going through any bend, even the factory used just a large sweeping arc. I would try to take the bends out or get another dipstick. I have never used the Lokar stick setup, but I suspect you will not be able to bend them into tight bends either without it making hard to use.
