I want to thank everyone that replied to this thread. I feel much better knowing how others feel about my overweight situation. I think in Washington state we are exempt from weight fees for RVs. I looked at my registration and I am only paying for 10,000#, I'll have to check and see what it would cost to go up to 21000#, or just stay out of states that I wouldn't be legal in.
I have tried to find out about tonnage on the trailer. I was told that is only for the big trucks. I tried calling DOT etc. This is for Wa state. Anyone have any info?
Based off your numbers, looks like you are running an '05 - '08 superduty. your GCWR on this truck should be 23,000lb, so you are ok all the way around. '99 - '04 superduties were only good on GCWR up to 20,000lb. Of course, these numbers are for F250/F350 SRW trucks.
been searching around for maryland. my truck has a 10K limit for the truck. On a class C lic max is 26,000lbs for truck and trailer before you have to go commerical or heavy haul permit.
That is all I can find for this state. If anyone else finds something let me know.
