There is an updated connector for the ICP when it leaks it often pushes oil up the harness.Take the heat wrap off the pig tail and make sure the wires are not soaked in oil, there is a TSB for it.The fact that the truck only quits once warmed up makes me think HPO system or a problem with the PCM once the truck is out of the cold opperating stratagy.
the pig tail P/N 3C3Z-12224-AA has been replaced by P/N 5C3Z-12224-A, the price is now $140.00 $115.00 with my discount this is nuts for a 6 inch long piece of wire!
HELI,i got mine from international for $11,they had a few more on the shelf.i went to mercandless on central for the parts.i also got the icp from them for $94.

thanks this Galpin Ford is a total rip off. and they don't know ***** about psd's I have never liked dealing with them but i am just too behind with work and ELK season opening tomorrow to run to phoenix. I paid $141 for the ICP nothing like mark up.
well I found the core problem, the FICM was breaking down when it got hot, I drove the truck until it got up to temperature stopped than re started and it died every 10 to 15 seconds, I then took ice and packed the FICM for about 5 minutes and the truck ran as it should. I found a used FICM in a wrecking yard for $250.00 changed it and the problem went away.

A buddy of mine has an '04 with codes for every injector, plus the code for FICM performance, I have been through the harness and connectors and have narrowed it down to the FICM....the thing is, my buddy doesn't have the 850 bucks the Ford dealer wants for a new FICM....This thing lopes, smokes, and is generally low on power(in my opinion), but does stay running.
Anyway, I was wondering if it was possible to just get a used FICM from a salvage yard and stick it on the truck without having to flash program it at the dealer? I figured if I could find one from an '04 that it would at least work, it may not be right, but it would work. I've done this before on GM ECMs that need flash programmed just to rule out bad ECMs before.
One thing I have learned from you guys on here is that apparently there have been some recalls on this truck(I think), well, my buddy swears he was never notified of them if there was....I'm pretty sure he may have been, but just threw the notices away, not knowing what they were, so there may be some things on this truck that still need fixed that will probably cost him now.
Anyway, sorry for the long post, thanks for any info.
Thanks for the quick reply, helifixer! This site is great, and has loads of great info....unfortunately, I'm on dialup internet for now(and have been for the last nine years), and this site doesn't load quickly on dialup, so I don't post very often, but I have found loads of great info on here. Been shopping for a new laptop and am going to upgrade to high speed internet hopefully soon, so that should help. Again, thanks for the quick reply!
