JD.....not sure if you have a Discount tire locally, but they pricematch. I used this website to pricematch with them. I saved $49 PER TIRE
Just pick your brand! Most are on there, I picked up my 315/75/16 BFG KM2's for $226 a tire, Discount quoted me $275 originally!
Well I think I found me some new tires, A set of Michelin M/S 285s with about 600 miles on them that includes some factory XLT wheels for 700 dollars. The only thing I don't like about the deal is the M/S tires are D rated not E rated. I heard Michelins last a pretty good while atleast the ones that my company uses does pretty good.
I talked them down to 700 right off the bat so hopefully they hold til sunday so i can go pick them up. Maybe I can get them cheaper when I teach them the ways of FTE and the hole family gets a new meaning of PMS when they see the DP-Tuner.
I put the Good Year Wrangler Silent Armors on about two weeks ago, and I'm loving them so far!! EXCELLENT tire! Got mine from the deal for $715. These are 265-75-16 stockers...
How are the silent armors in snow?? I'm in NH and have to put 500lbs of sand and chains on my BFG ATs 285-75-16 to plow when the snow is wet and heavy.

I have 285's on my truck, and they are good in the snow. I drove empty most of the time and havent had a problem, and we get lots of snow up here. They are good on ice too! They actually have good traction on just about every surface. My only beef with the silent armor is in the sticky mud we have up here. Mind ya, I went from using goodyear mt/r's to the silent armors, so Im probably just used to the more aggresive tread.
Regarding goodyear at/s's stay away. They are a problem tire and i cant tell you how many sets I have personally installed and have had to take back on warranty. They have good grip, but they are (or used to be) bad for separating. Seems like 1 set in about 6 that I used to install would last well.

Great in the snow. I've ran BFG ATs as well for comparison. IMO, the Silent Armor is superior in the rain and snow.
I have the Silent Armors on 2 trucks.....plowed with them for a couple years on the F-150, now I'll be plowing on the set on the 07 F-350. I always have 400-500 lbs of salt in the back to spread though.
Justin, what are ya gonna do with your stock wheels? I just bought a set of chrome/steel wheels today off of an '04. I guess I should have waited and bought your old ones .lol
