Looking for new Tires

Hey guys I am looking for a set of new tires my Bridgestone ATs are wearing out and I have already lost two of them to bubbling on the side and they are not even half way wore.

I have found a set of 285 firestone ATs locally for 167 a tire and they are E rated. I will not buy Nittos due to the fact I have heard of too many of wearing way to quickly on these trucks due to them being soft rubber. I would like to get a set of tires for under 700 shipped so thats my budget. I could get these Firestones here locally mounted and balanced with tax for 787 and some change.

Help me out guys I know how you all like to spend other peoples money .

My Yoko geolanders ATS 285-75-16,s rated D were 137.00 a piece plus shipping from tirerack.com. Great tire so far. I try to get a tire with at least 17-32 tread width to get some miles out of them. Those Firestones only got 15-32nds.

I have the Bridgestone Dueler AT revos and I like them. When I get new I might get the same thing. Since I don't do much offroading, there a good all weather tire. Just cann't help you for price..

I have Geo-Trac Radials on mine. Same tread as the Michelin's. They are a great tire. IMO

JD, I like my Silent Armors, but they were not cheap by any standard. Love the ride and handling though. They are wearing pretty darn good too. Hard to wear out sitting under a carport.

JD, do you do alot of off roading because i had the AT revo,s and they lasted almost 70,000. They were worn but passed the last inspection. 98% highway. I would have gotten them again but to expensive.

Don't know what they cost but I'm on my second set of Bridgestone revos and like the NASCAR boys say they are "stickers".

85-90% of the time it will be highway but when I get off the road I tend to need the ATs myabe it was just a bad batch of bridgestones I am not sure. They are 203 each for the Revos. What about these firestones are they too good of a price to be true? Mike I know you paid a PRETTY penny for those Silent Armors but they won't hold out to good if the only time out of the car port they are boiling the smoke with those that PMR pushing truck JK. What about the Toyo tires any thing about them, I have to have am set of 285s I cannot go back to those little 265s.

I agree with recommending Silent Armors.

I have the Silent Armor Pro Grades on my 07 F-350....34,000 miles on them currently, tow and haul often. Great in the rain and snow....decent in the mud (for an all terrain).

I replaced my factory o.e. wranglers at 70000KM (could have got more out of them), and put goodyear wrangler at/r on, they have done 26000KM and are bald, DONT use them!
Assuming that our tyres over here are the same as what you blokes get!

We also dont seem to be getting very good mileage from coopers either. (they are guaranteed for 80000km over here, but dont get anywhere near it)

IMHO anything Michelin is going to last, I have ran several LTX's 70K

My 1st pick. They have no warranty but will outlast the Goodyears. So no need for one.

Not cheap but come with a warrenty 60K I think.
My 2nd pick.

I have had the Revo's to not impressed. Compared to the old Duelers, I think I put on 70K on a set of those albeit it was on a '95 1500 Suburban.

I just put tires on my truck too and went with my 3rd pick...
Tons cheaper than the Goodyears and Michelins and have the 60K warranty, so if they are horrible I will go with the Michelins next time.

If you want to know they are Pathfinder All Terrains, made by Kelly "I know" for Discount tire. But I am sick of paying out the azz for tires that last 30K.

I paid $144 per tire mounted/balanced. I also added their lifetime replacement/repairs/rotation/balance. I have already used it on my trailer tires.

Edit: Oh yeah, the tires I replaced with the Pathfinders were BFG KO's, I got maybe 30K out of them and then ran them another 8K they were bald
