Nope... I was pulled away from the computer to go cook steaks on the grill, then had dinner and then responded to another thread, now back here...

I'll respond fully shortly -- kids are going to bed in 45 minutes so I'm going to go play with them a while.

All that is on octane 91. And this was dyno'd in China Grove, NC...don't have any charts on me seeing as I'm at school in TN right now. And it's soon to have the TMI 434 stroker kit and I don't know exact numbers on that yet, but they tell me that over 500hp and over 550tq is easily attainable with head work (getting the CHI 3v).
It sounds like a nice build. The 650 cfm is usually good setup, not too much carb for what you're running. Is it giving any indication of running out of breath on the top end and falling off on HP? (BTW, the Edelbrock Performer... is a very good intake). I really can't find any fault with that build. TMI is a great source for the 400/350M. Tim really knows those engines (and he's a nice guy as well, met him in Kansas). Have you considered a larger exhaust diameter since the FC3 has a 3" collector? (or maybe an x-pipe, cheap way of helping with scavanging(.

What are you doing tranny wise?

The Bronco (with 351M, but is getting the 400 crank and pistons) is going to get the exact same setup as my '77 has right now, or I might go with the XE256 and since it's not installed yet, the best I have to go off is a desktop dyno says peak hp is 342@4500 and peak torque is 475@2500 with that setup. The XE256 setup is with octane 93.
I think Hotrod Magazine has an online article somewhere for building a 500HP / 550+ ft-lb 400. Used a combination of Edelbrock, Chevy, Ford and Mopar parts to do it and don't remember exactly, but I think it was on 87 octane. Might want to search Google to see what they did and how much it cost.
