Glasspack mufflers
Anyone have a link for literature, or performance tests that proves glasspacks are dismal performers compared to performance mufflers, despite the "straight through" design?

I do not know of any muffler tests that are not biased. In certain instances, glass packs are poor performers. If flow is all that matters, non computer controlled engines, they are as good if not better than the performance mufflers you are talking about. The trick is using the right size glass pack, which most people do not do.

Theres also two ways to install a glasspack. The thing imo is that different mufflers don't add more power than others. Most of the time no mufflers doesn't provide any more power. Just poeple and companies trying to make a buck. For exhaust, power is in headers and 10hp gain for shorties and 20hp for longtubes. As for those companies offering 25hp for the mufflers they are full of it.
