hey guys sorry i haven't posted recently, but i just moved and it took over a month to get internet.but the reason i'm posting is i just scored and 81 f150 with a 302 4spd od,for free.the body is great shape but the box is trashed.i have some questions.what kind of fuel economy would this engine and trans combo make, as i'm thinking of making this my daily driver. the vin is 2FTEF15F9BCA84869
wb 133 gvw f153 body cb4 trans b axle 13 ad.
i'll see if i can find the vin decoder. thanks
thanks guys,my daily driver right now needs lots of work, and i was hoping this thing gets better mpg than my 86 f250 460 4x4 which gets 10 mpg on a good day.
10 mpg on a 4x4 460 sounds decent all things considered but still I can see that hurting the checkbook. Your elevation/latitude plays with MPG to some degree too doesn't it?
i would post pics if i could figure it out.i put the pics in my gallary but there is no way i can figure to post them. they should make it easier for us computer illerate.

It is pretty easy I am not much of a computer wiz and I can do it,I use photobucket and what I do is upload the photos I want to post on here to photobucket then in photobucket it will give you a choice as how you want to link the photos go to the one that has IMG and right click you can copy it then when you want to post it open up your post box here(I usually have my post box open and open a new browser so if I make a mistake I can go back to photobucket and try again) and you can paste the IMG in to your post.
I know others have a different way of doing it but this is easy and works for me.
