The driver side is the one with the 42 pin connector. It's the square box with a bolt in the middle that looks like it's bolted to the valve cover. I just pulled the VC off the passenger side on my wife's truck tonight. Only takes 2-3 hours to get it off, retorqe the rocker arm pedestals to 20 ft - lbs, injector hold down bolts to 120 in - lbs (3 were loose almost a 1/2 turn ), clean things up a little, grind a quarter down and stick it in, then put it all back together. Gonna do the drivers side tomorrow.
I agree with not driving it until you get this fixed. That trip will take a loooooong time if you try to make it on only 4 cylinders.
