when you make your wire harness, use the 4 wire flat trailer wire with the disconnect.I ran three inches with a disconnect from the radio. I then ran the other disconnect with all of the wire over to my fuse panel.the wire is all tied together, very neat ,and very clean.I used yellow for memory, white for ground, and green for hot. The brown wire can be stripped off clean. If you ever replace your radio you can unplug it like a factory setup.
so you wired all that in to the same fuse or what???

thats how you wire it normally. i think ima hook mine to constant power on both wires so it will be straight wired.(you can listen to the radio w/o the keys)
Ya have fun fabbing a braket. its not the easiest thing in the world. i did it on my own. It turned out slightly crooked but its close enough. Theres some good forums on this if you can find them in the search. I forgot who but theres a guy with a nice mettallic blue late 70's on here with good pics. maybe the guy is Bucks77 or something. Hes got some nice pics of his bracket thats what i based mine from.
