What are you using for a code reader? Very few out there are actually compatible with diesels, and our trucks don't have codes for mis-fires.

Put the plug wire back on
Your actron reader will not work on a PSD.

Get it scanned and report back, then we can figure it out! Maybe someone is near you that could scan it for you? Where are you located?

Make sure you check wiring before replacing injectors. You can get injector codes from something as simple as a loose UVC harness.

will do, if one was to rebuild an injector, would you need any special tools that a normal mechanic wouldn't have. I was a diesel mech in the navy but times have changed
I have the abilty but maybe not the special tools.. as for the electrical side of the injector what commonly goes wrong and is it repairable.

These trucks have a UVC (under valve cover) wiring harness. You can pull the valve cover and check the harness for loose connections pinched wires that kinda stuff

Welcome to FTE!

sounds like the best way to go is to replace than rebuild, tomorrow I will get my truck to the guy and find the failed injector, order or find rebuilt ones and go for gold

9 times out of 10 it is a wiring problem not a bad injector... how many miles does your motor have on it
