Question Carrier Bearing Shim question

So I was looking at my driveshaft and it's not straight. I have a leveling kit and 35''s. I took the carrier down and measured where it needs to be and I would have to add about 3/4'' of spacer to get it straight.
1) Does this sound right?
2) how much if any are you running?
3) Does it even need to be straight?

Goods news is that the bearing was silky smooth, at 157,000 miles. This all started cause I was getting a slight vibration at take-off. Followed the advice of others here to a TSB from Ford saying to do this.

IIRC within 3 degrees is where the driveshaft needs to be.... according to Ford.

1/4"-1/2" per lifted inch
Sometimes you have to play with it a little.

Nice avatar, it's not surfing until you throw that rope!

BTW, this bearing you type of is NOT the 'carrier bearing,' those are in the rear-end (and four by front-end).

You're shimming the driveshaft support bearing.

For years, we went out for a session today actually. Pretty much every Wednesday. One word... ENZO. Best wakesurf boat ever made, best watersports investment I've ever made (I said that when I bought an X-Star in 1999).

Back on topic, how tall a lift?

I was just thinkin that, bigger tires shouldnt make that big a difference in the rear as far as the driveline? Did you put bogger tires on it or something, how big is the vibration???
