'79 bed for '73?

'79 bed for '73?

Does it matter if a '79 bed came off of a 4wd or any other specifics? I found a swb bed with one rust spot about 2 hours away for $200 and the only description is that it came off of '79 truck.

79 bed will work on the 73. 4wd or 2wd doesn't matter. 79 will have the gas doors in the side though, try to get the filler tube w/ the bed.

I belive the 79' frames are a little wider than the 73's.

The 73-77 250 Highboy frames were not as wide as the 78/79 250's for sure. Does anyone know if the 150 frame width changed?

Either way, it's just a matter of drilling some new holes and filling in the old ones!
