Cool Warning Ranting In Progress

ok so three things to rant about!

#1. I bought a "pop lock" for my tail gate What a waste of $ that was. The striker plate is held on by double sided tape! And now my handle doesn't go all the back!

#2. I was messing with my gallery and i noticed that the word "truck" was highlighted so i scrolled over it. And guess what popped up... A DODGE TRUCK COMMERCIAL!. Last time i checked this was a Ford only forum why in the world is there a dodge commercial?

#3. Since when does Safeway diesel make my truck get bad fuel mileage? Last week i put $20.00 in at the Valero gas station and drove my truck to work and back all week with out needing fuel till Friday. Friday i put $50.00 in and barley made it to today! Since I am stubborn/stupid i put $40.00 of Safeway crap in it, and its not looking promising at all.

anyways thank you all for reading... I'm done now.

I never use Safeway for diesel, either. You end up paying more per mile because of the crappy mileage. So I save the discounts for my wife's gas engine Audi A4.
The best mileage that I have found in my area is at the Shell station in Lake Forest Park.
They advertise Premium Diesel and charge a little more for it than average.
But the mileage went from 28 mpg on my TDI to 35 in town driving.

Oh, and the exhaust coming out smells a lot sharper on the Shell stuff.
Kind of burns your nose compared to the Safeway fuel, but I don't care.

What he said ^^^^
I have found the exact same thing... Safeway = worst mileage .... Shell = best mileage.

I use either shell or husky fuel from the truck stops here. Oddly enough husky fuel does a little better in my truck then the shell from the local truck stops, and when I head to work in edmonton (a city about 5ish hours away) the shell there does better in my truck then the husky there!

I stray away from the grocery store fuel stations..but my reasoning behind it was for fear of contamination. They don't seem to move their fuel very quickly, and some of that stuff could be pretty old.

My bro-in-law says the same thing there Dan, he's in Kenmore so thats where he fills up as well. I noticed my truck runs very badly after Safeway so I stick to the 24hr fuel/CFN up here. They move diesel like crazy plus they have the nice high speed pumps so I'm not sitting there forever. They never foam up either, like some of the fuel stations around here. Wonder if the pump/handle is different maybe?

Tell him to go pay the extra dime on the Shell station in Lake Forest Park, right on Lake City Way. It's only two miles from the Kenmore Safeway and very well worth the extra expense.

Safeway's in my neck of the woods don't carry Diesel. I guess that's a good thing. Usually the best price/quality has been the Flying J truck stop near my work.

On top of the Dodge commercial, has anyone noticed EVERY add is about the new Hummer H3T... the truck or whatever it is. It's in every thread on the first post.

Nolan, I have found the same thing. I gave up on Safeway once the prices started to come down. Valero for sure. I can even feel the difference on power in my truck between the two.
