Prolly didn't get a Ford-Trucks sticker either, huh?
I wrote them about the FTE decals, only to be informed that they don't offer them anymore.

Well, there you go... don't expect a t-shirt or sticker.

But neither of those are valid reasons NOT to support this sight. You won't find a better group of people anywhere. Trust me, I'm member on every diesel board you could imagine and ONLY post here with an occasional post in the classifieds on PSN (every other thread is a pissing contest).

Again, FTE = world class, sticker or not!

I thought for sure I would see your supporter tag by now. Mine appeared immediately after making the payment.

My badge showed up immediately. And I guess my Safeway supplier is different, because I sometimes fuel up there.....and see no drop in mpg. MOST of the time I fuel up at Sinclair truck stop, it's generally about a nickel more though. For every $100 in groceries you buy at Safeway you get .10cents off fuel, so I wait until we have like 3 credits before fueling. Filled up the other day for like $3.32

Fwiw

Well, I'm not one to question anyones experience with fuel milage when buying fuel from different stores because there can be diffs due to age/contaminates/etc.. However, I used to work in the oil and gas industry (No-- that dosn't mean I was a cook at taco bell! )

I worked for 13 years in the one of the top 5 largest refineries in the US. We made our Branded fuel that left the plants in Branded trucks that went to Branded stations. The exact same fuel was pumped in the bulk distributer trucks that filled the grocery store tanks/ the mom and pops/the large truck stops--Flying J's etc../ and any other filling station that would contract with them. Then the next truck in line may be a large branded competitor's bulk fuel truck and we filled them up too. they truck it to their nearby branded stations.
if you don't believe me just show up any weekday morning at about 5:00 am and look what trucks are in line at the truck rack! You will be satisfied that I'm telling the truth. If you don't want to show up that early, just take a ride past, during the day and look just past the truck rack and see the additive tanks for all of our competiors right past the fence on our property.
What happens is the fuel is pumped in the truck and the driver is "suppose" to take his 5 or 6 gal. bucket and fill it up with the appropiate additives then climb on top of the tanker and pour it in so it will slosh around and mix before he makes his first stop! most of the time they do this -- Yea right! lets just say some of the time they do this--
So if there is only a Exxon refinery near where you buy your fuel, any fuel you buy near there is more than likely made at that Exxon refinery. If you are near my area, the gas and diesel is made at either the Conoco or Citgo Refinery. It dosn't matter if you purchased your fuel at the Exxon station-- it was Citgo or Conoco fuel. They did not truck that fuel all the way from the Baton Rouge Exxon refinery to that station! So what you are buying is the different additive package--- sometimes! what makes a bigger difference is how old the underground tanks are and how much contaminates are in those tanks, or how well they filter!

If you don't live near a oil refinery than your fuel could be shot down the avail. pipelines to a tank farm then put in the bulk trucks. The pipe line end of the bussiness is even more confusing. they may pump fuel oil down the line then a sour crude, then something else. do you know what seperates those different products? ----Nothing! They have it figured out by the pump rates and time/distance when they change over the valves to send the different products to the different tanks. they pull a sample and then cut it over to another tank. it is as simple as that. kind of scary huh? well that is what is behind the curtain folks. the branding on the stations where we fuel up is just all marketing hype!
