01 Excursion with P0676 code

I have changed the entire driver side bank. Truck seems to start ok. A little smokey but it is cool out. That should have fixed it. But the light still comes back on.

A couple months ago, I had a CEL with a GPCM failure but that seems to have self resolved. What am I missing? Could the GPCM be at fault?

If it were the GPCM acting up, why not all the GPs and not just #6?

Have you checked the connectors at the GPCM?

What if you swapped the connectors you could isolate it to either the GPCM or the connector or wiring to the glow plugs.

If you got a P0675 then there may be a connector or wiring problem.

If you still get a P0676 it could be the GPCM. Worth a try.

I checked the wiring and it was about0.6 ohms from the VC harness to the negative terminal. All of them did that. Checked continuity from the GPCM and it was good. Swapped terminals and it had the same code. Changed the module, cleared the code and so far it hasn't appeared. We shall see.

Thanks for posting the fix. So swapping the connectors pointed to the GPCM. I don't have a GPCM, but this is good to know for those that do.
