the only way to start it is to use the remote start, but even that takes several attempts.
now to make it even better, it only happens when the truck sits for several hours like overnight. once the truck starts then its fine when i shut it off later and come back to it, i can use they key or the remote starts it 1st try.
now it wont start at all ive been trying for hours. i even talked to the instalers of the remote start and tried to re-program it, that didnt work. so we un-hooked it completly and took it out of the equation. but it still wont crank over...
AND NO ITS NOT THE BATTERY! lol

my cousins truck did this and it was the positive post connector. It read 13.8v at the post but after the terminal only read 3.9v. And it started with the remote start after about 10 trys. Not saying it is it but something to test if you have a voltage tester. We all know how chincey the ford Battery terminal connectors are.
Make sure that all of the aftermarket remote starter is removed i had this same problem on a 03 f 450 i thought i had the remote starter removed and had missed one disabling relay
