i been told many times if your going to push over 40 psi alot...you need head studs or you will lift the heads blowing the gaskets out...

I pumped mine up to 15-20 psi. And got out the soap water spray. The leaks showed up everywhere. Spraying map sensor/boots/tubes, etc. I was surprised.

you could put 1000psi on the charge air system, and the least thing you would need to worry about would be the headgaskets. 40 psi is during engine operation, when 40psi is stuffed in and then compressed down to 17.5 times it's size, then when you inject the fuel it ignites and pushes over 2500psi of cylinder pressure. Ron, just think when you do a compression test, the cylinder pressure gets to 400ish, even without any boost. That's taking atmospheric pressure and compressing it 17 times its size.

hmmm now that makes a lot of sense..didn't think of it that way...thanks Kris...left ya rep's not for telling me i am wrong...but for explaining why i was wrong
