OBA installed...no difference in boost?

Installed the OBA and still only build 25psi..and to achieve this it takes holding it at 3200 rpm and egts are thru the roof at *1500...I've tightened the crap out of my boots. I wa under my truck the other day and saw a bit of a leak where my egt pobe goes into the up-pipe...now since its exhaust does it effect boost? I know leaky uppipes cause power loss so Im guessing this will have the same effect?

all the OBA does is keep the map sensor from seeing any thing above 22 lb of boost and defueling your truck...if you want to see more boost un hook the red line from the west gate booster on the top of your turbo and plug the end of the red line on the bolts on the boot clamps..you should see 30 lb..i see 32 on mine..but over 25 lb your just heating the air more....

my wastegate is unhooked. I thot before the reason I couldnt go above 25 was because it was defueling....but it doesnt seem to be the case, and in the 80econo I only see 22-23....

25psi is sounds good, for a stock sticks and turbo,
i think 28# is the most, over 25# is going beyond stock turbo map, IIRC,
but UP pipe leak might cause that, get a flashlight and go under your truck and you can see if you have soot on the flanges,
and up pipes can be major problem why you wont build more than 25#, and you EGT's are up too, so my vote is you have leak somwhere,
you UP pipes drive your turbocharger, without them or major leak , its no go

are you sure there is no leaks in the boots or up pipes??? check the driver side IC pipe down by the power steering pump..make sure that elbow from one of the hoses didnt punch a hole in the IC pipe...also did you check the turbo wheel for dusting ,chips..play in the wheel??

Ive checked the up pipes and there is no soot, just in the one spot I mentioned....ill put some muffler cement around it and see if it makes a difference.

when I put my ATS housing on my wheel appeared fine. it seems since I installethat I lost my boost..the boots I havent checked lately are the ones that go to the intake..it is kinda oily down there, perhaps thats where its leaking

build one of these for less then 20 bucks at lows..you will find the leak fast..you cant hear one unless your driving and building boost...one of these you fill the system with air and listen..also make sure you have the map line nice and tight too..if you had the babies butt off..is it back on right?? there is a small dowl that needs to be lined up just right with the turbo..if it isnt you will loose boost and raise temps just like a bad donut..

Make sure that oring is in right. Also, that may explain the boost issue as it may not make as much boost by design. Isn't that how it reduces surge? Anyone else with the ATS notice this? I'm probably talking out the side of my face here.
