Lift problems, PLEASE HELP!
I bought a rancho 4" kit for my '81 F150. I installed the rear and then went to installing the front. In the instructions it said "if the axle pivot brackets are welded to the frame on your vehicle DO NOT install this system." Well, my pivot brackets are welded and now I'm driving around in a half lifted truck. What do I do now? Is it possible to cut off the old bracket and weld the new one in? Is a staright axle swap from TTB IFS to a Dana 44 solid axle a pretty easy project? What are my options?

Try looking for a crossmember out of a similiar truck that has the brackets bolted or riveted. Then maybe you could swithch the crossmembers.
P.S.-If you have any pictures of the half-lifted truck i would love to see them. I always enjoy a good laugh.
