Have a question on what the difference is between a 2v and 3V and what do I have. Looking at buying some headers on line and they are asking if I need a 2V or 3V. I know it has to do with the valves. My truck is a 2001 250 4x4 V10 Thanks in advance
i have both a 99 f350 2 valve and a 06 3 valve... let me just say the 06 is fast...the 06' has 87 more hp and 47 ft tq more and way smoother of a motor.....you have an updated verson of the 99' ...in 2001 they updated the heads i quess and your making 310 hp and 425 tq compared to the 99 at 275hp/ 410 tq ....the 3 v makes 362hp 457 tq and very noticeable
Aren't the newer generation Super Duty Trucks heavier as well? I've owned an 01' 03' and now an 08' and it's seems it is a heavier truck, even with the gasser vs the diesel options I had in the previous trucks. That would account for a fuel mileage variation.

Roger that. I average about 13 now, but I barely drive it. Living 75 minutes from work sucks. I can't drive it as much as I used to. The Escort ZX2 racks up the mileage now, over 2000 a month.
To tell the truth though, my mileage didn't drop all that much. I think my gear change can account for most of it but, I did most of my mods at the same time as the lift. I wish I would have done the lift first and seen the "worse" mileage so it seemed like a "blessing" to get similar mileage lifted vs. unlifted.

That is pretty good Heavy Metal. I'm probably getting like 9-10 give or take for sure. I use the Cougar for work which does way better on gas, well not really either.
