Woot is an online seller. But they are different than others. I would describe them as liquidators. They often have refurbs. They also have overstock and occaisionally they have an early release of a product.
What's different is they only sell one item. Each day it is a different item and they sell it until midnight, or until the stock is gone.
Shipping is a flat $5, no matter what the item.
They write funny descriptions of the item and try to keep the experience interesting and light.
Once in a while they will sell a "Bag-o-crap". I think they cost $1 each. It's just a brown paper bag and has random items that did not sell out in the past. Kind of like the grab bag gift idea. I guess they put random expensive items in the bags. They sell out so fast I have never been able to buy one.
The Woot Off days are different. They list left over stuff, one after the other, until each item sells out. Today is a Woot Off. Yeah, it's a big deal, uh-huh.
Is the bag-o-crap flaming when it arrives on your porch?
Gawd I hope so, but I have not been able to buy one yet. You pretty much have to hunker over the keyboard waiting for the BOC to come up. And, well, I guess I am an underachiever.
Tuesdays are twofer days. Last week I got two 4gb micro SD flash drives with SD drive adapters for $5.99 + $5 shipping. That was a good deal but not everything they put up is.
And they are really big sellers of Roomba. I get tired of seeing those things.
Morning Brady, I'll just take Steve's word on the value of that video....
Bill, that's a pretty interesting site, never heard of it before. I'll have to check that out from time to time, to see if I need anything they might have!
