I found a 1967 fairlane GT and I was wanting to run the numbers on the VIN to see exactally what all it had from the factory. It has a built to the hills 390 in it with a manual tranny and I was just curious to see if that all was half way origional. So if anybody knows where I can run the VIN #s through to see the info on it i would appreciate it. Thanks for the help!!

Post or email me the VIN and all the codes off the Warranty Plate.
I need the codes off the Warranty Plate, because...
The VIN does not include the BODY / COLOR / TRIM (Upholstery) / DATE (of production) / DSO (where vehicle was ordered from) / AXLE / TRANS, codes.
The Warranty Plate is located on the left door face below the latch.
Example of a 1967 Fairlane VIN: 7K42S123456: 7 = 1967 / K = Kansas City Assembly Plant / 42 = 500 GT 2 dr HT / S = 390 4V / 123456 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly.
8A = Charcoal Black Crinkle Vinyl & Charcoal Black Rosette Pattern Vinyl
05D = Assembled May 5th, 1967
54 = Omaha NE Ford District Sales (Zone) Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the car from.
D1 = You have two codes as one.
D = Ford 9" / 3.25-1 / LimitedSlip
1 = You sure this is a 1?
1 = Ford 3 Speed Manual all Syncromesh Transmission.
5 is a toploader 4 speed.
btw: If this had been a 1967 F100/350, I coulda decoded all the info in less than 3 minutes, as I have most of the codes memorized. Cars take longer, cuz I have to look everything up.
wow...thanks!! thats awesome!!! Yeah i am sure it is a 1. I will have pics as soon as I get my cash rounded up because it is in BFE!! I HOPEFULLY will have it within 3 weeks depending when I get concrete in my shop. I am really excited about it and cant wait to get it home. The seats are in OK shape black bucket seats and it has traction bars in the trunk and I gess the motor is a FRESH bored 60 over 390. Thanks NUMBERDUMMY!
That sounds like a really cool car. I have always liked the Fairlanes and Galaxies even though I have never owned one. And yes, Bill is great at having the info that normally you can't get and then some.
Hey Pat, I got the fairlane paid for!! Now Im just waiting for the concrete to get done in my shop so I can bring her on home!! Thats going to be a very good day when all of that happens.
