I'll have to look at the coils on one of our 2wds later on when they get back to the shop and compare them to the ones on my 07 or 06.
Are you looking to swap coils?
Don't know about him, but I'm interested in lifting mine up a couple inches to level it. Tired of the door-stop look. I understand there are some heavier ones (for the ambulance package maybe??) that lift it a little. The other option as I understand it are spacers.
Sorry for the hijack, but I'm curious if one way is better than the other. And will I need new shocks for just a 2" lift in the front?? Any advice??
you can change your front leafs to the code x type and that will raise the front end about 2 in.
mine raised about that much now I need to FIND a set of 350 rear blocks to get my truck back to level any help anyone?

Custom coils would be the best way, IMO since you can get a nice progressive rate.
Any time you increase height on a 2wd you need to worry about keeping camber and caster within spec.

2wds are coil springs.
F-350 blocks...dealer. I have the part numbers if you need them.
Unrelated, how do you like that Boss plow?
Thinking of getting one for my 07 (used Westerns on my last two plow trucks).

I have a brand new F350 spacer and U-bolt set purchased from the dealer that I never got around to installing on my F250; now I have a F350. Just been sitting in my garage; I will sell it to you for my cost + shipping. It will be cheaper than buying straight from the dealer since I paid through FordDirectParts and they are part of the Ford Dealership here in Las Vegas but only sell through the internet at reduced prices - roughly 40-60% off dealer prices. They are now known as SilverState Ford Parts.
As an aside to this thread (hope it is not construed as a hijack) is it possible to use a 2wd coil setup on a 4wd truck? I would love to change over to coils on my 01 F350 3wd but all of the coil conversion kits lift the front end and I want to keep my lift at stock level. Anyone know about this? thanks

If you find a '05 and up donor Superduty then you can steal parts for your '01.
