I finally got the 5.0 and tranny out of my '88 Mercury donor car. However the front clip is damaged too severely to use. I have been looking at the the Big Bob offered by Bob's f100's. Has anyone used this set up along with their 4 bar set up.

Reason: poor grammar
54 that Big Bob has been out I believe about 1.5 - 2 years. I think, and again this is just my opinion, more folks on here have experience with your tried and true Front suspension options:
Straight Axle (Stock, Dropped, or Toyota steering Box assisted)
Volare
Mustang II based
Vette
AMC Pacer Style
GM Car Clip
FOMOCO clip (my favorite)
Didnt want you to think no one was ignoring just probably not much experience with that Big Bob at all.
Thanks Donald, I didn't feel I was being ignored. I was thinking maybe out of all the people on this forum that someone had tried the Big Bob. I knew it was a shot in the dark but worth a try. I am leaning towards possibly being the first guy on the block to have this set up under my truck. Tim
I have been looking for a Jag front end for 2 years without any success. I did find one whole car but the guy wants 2k. It has been sitting in the same place with all the windows. The trunk is full of water, however he still thinks it is worth 2k.
Hey Vern I called Bob's today they don't have the Big Bob in their online or hardcopy catalog yet. I saw it in the October issue of Classic Trucks.{page 72} It is made exclusively for F-100's. It starts at $2195. Sounds like a good set up. I figure by the time I put a clip on and rebuild it I would have a pretty good chunk of change invested.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim. Is this a MII based suspension, totally custom, or what?

It says it is full size front end, Not a mustang copy.. all bolt-on No welding required. The guy I talked to said they make it how you want; in other words new or used parts;chrome or painted ect. motor mounts. He also said they are getting a new catalog and updated website in the future. I will be calling them again and bugging them I am going to see if they can send some pictures and info. Hope this helps.
