I'm betting the trailer Ron. He must have had a problem before and that's why he replaced the fuse. If he had replaced the 30A with a 30A instead of a 50A. The fuse would have blown instead of melting the wiring harness.
depends on how far back it went..id say be cheaper to make your own... did it melt the truck wires to? or just the trailer wires on the truck??

Wow, I hate like Hell to be the one to say what everybody else here is thinking, but that was not real bright. Did you say you put the 50A in, or did your Dad do it? If you did it, you really can't blame Pop, you had a problem before you loaned him the truck.
