On my 04 the piece that greatly increased the turbo whine was the downpipe. Once that puppy went on that whistle was awesome. It also had a great tone if you were watching the truck pull away. No difference really in the cab but I am sure that was because you couldn't hear it over the motor.

I know I didn't gain any sound and that's hard to swallow. These new diesels are no fun with all the new smog crap. I will say this though, knowing the truck breaths better, I achieved some small HP gains, and your EGT are lower makes me know it was worth the investment.

For the exhaust and intake it was right around $870 shipped if I am not mistaken.

that's not a bad price, I want to do something like that as well, but am wondering what kind of MPG gain it will achieve.

Don't suppose you have run it enough to determine that yet?

That sounds about right. I never did an intake on my 04 but the exhaust was about 400.

As of right now I have roughly 200 miles on the truck with the exhaust and intake and have yet to see any gains.I figure I will give it 500 or so miles to really find out.
