Hi there, I dont't have a lot of 4X4 experience, so this should be an easy question. When I put the truck in 4hi (or low) and and make lock to lock turns, the front wheels seem to jump and hop. It gets progressively worse as you turn the wheel. I know it dosen't have a locker or anything and it only does it when engaged in 4x4. When driving in 2wd with the hubs locked in, it's fine. Is this normal? any ideas are greatly appreciated.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 19-Jan-02 AT 03:05 PM (EST)]Its fine. My truck does it when the hubs are locked in when I am in two wheel drive though as well. It makes for a real pain in the butt at school because the parking lot is so stupid it takes me maybe 6 or 7 tries to get out of my spot if I am parked beside other trucks in the snow! BTW I have an 86 F150 4x4 with a 302 AOD.
No problem, let me tell you these trucks go anywhere. Mine has a 302 auto, NP 208 and 3.55's and I can out 4x4 my buds 82 F250 4x4 and my other buddies 89 GMC Jimmy (not that I am surprised by that one). I put some 31's on it and they seem to be fine. Any other questions feel free to ask.
