Hi there...(this is also posted on the "off road and 4X4" forum) Just a quick question; After driving a 400 mile trip, I noticed that my hubs were locked in (must have forgotten to unlock them at some point) I don't have a locker or anything, so I don't see why that whould have hurt anything other than my fuel mileage. however, now when the hubs are locked in, it makes a rythmic clicking whenever the truck is moving (it does it irregardless of clutch position and engine speed, so that has nothing to do with it). I figured this to be U-joint problem, but how would I check this? thanks

The only way you're going to find it (and you need to, FAST!) is to get it off the ground and track down where the noise is coming from. Also check the shafts for play in the U-Joints by hand. Grab both sides, and see if you can move them. A bad UJ (bad enough to make a noise) will be fairly easy to spot.
But the prime suspect to me, would be the front end or the hubs.
There is only one way to find out, by getting under the truck on jackstands
Thanks for the suggestion...its kinda what I figured, but I can always use the help. I am not in a position to use jackstands where i am currently living, so I'll have to take it to a shop with a lift, until then I'll roll around under there and see if I can't find anything obvious
