I am going to put a 351w in a 1970 F-100 Ranger. I need a flywheel, and will probably seek one out in a junk yard. The 351 is out of a '73 galaxy. does it matter what year flywheel I buy?
Looks like 81-85 Bronco and 81-93 F150 used the same flywheel behind the 351w. Not a whole lot of vehicles came with a 351w and a standard trans.(I am assuming your using a standard trans). Also the the 80-81 Bronco and 80 F150 with a 302 used the same flywheel. Pioneer #FW113 or Ford # E8TZ-6375-C.
Happy hunting

You need a flywheel and the engine is from a 1973 Galaxie (LTD).
No 351W Galaxie/LTD came with a manual transmission, so do you need a M/T flywheel or a A/T flexplate?
The motor is going into a '70 pickup with a three on the tree. I need a flywheel not a flexplate.
Since the 1975/78 Econolines used the same 351W block as the 1973/78 Galaxies did, and were available with "3 on the tree" that's the flywheel I look for.
D7TZ6375C .. Flywheel-164 Tooth Ring Gear / Marked: C7TE-A or D7TE-GA / Obsolete.
Used on the following: 1973 Mustang & 1973/74 Torino 351C 4V / 1966/77 Bronco 302 / 1975/77 Econoline 351W (1978 and later used a different flywheel).
i have three of them flywheels in my barn one was just turned came off a 72 351W but any flywheel with the sandard starter (NOT HIGH Tourqe) will work so any thing from 1970 Stright 6 302 or 351 up to 1992 should work for what you need just make sure you dont use the clutch and pressure plate buy the one for that year if you dont already have it
