You probably don't get as good of mileage as I do, otherwise I'd take you up on your offer. I run 5k intervals on dino oil and only change mine every 6 weeks. (except this time since I've already got over 1400 since last weekends oil change.)

I have drove my truck 8K since I bought it last Nov. Changed the oil when I got it then switched to Schaeffers on my last oil change.

I was like Chris until last June. 6k miles every 6 weeks, my MONTHLY fuel bill was about $1500. I bought the tuna can(suzuki forenza) monthly payment is $200. I changed insurance carriers, and actually insure three vehicles for the cost of 1.5 without going down in any coverage category. old insurance= $1000 every 6 months for three vehicles, new insurance= $600 every 6 months for three vehicles. and I struggle to put more than $250 of fuel in the tuna can each month.
so if you add it up
$200 payment+$33 insurance+$250 fuel+ $13 (tag fee)= $496 a month. My oil changes are still the same car $24 every 3K truck $52 every 6K

So basically by buying a commuter car I got a $1000 a month raise.

(the truck has been paid for, for the past 5 years, and it is still used on the weekends to haul the camper and go to the hardware store)

Last oil change on the truck was in June, and it has seen about 2K miles since. I miss driving my truck daily, but the savings I am seeing are worth it.
