Plenty of guys running 35's with stock 3.55 or 4.10 gears. Certainly no need for anything taller than 4.10's

I've got 36's on the rear (2WD for now) with 3.55's. Mind you, mine's a 5 speed. No problems with shortage of power. Increases your top speed and gives (I hear ) better mileage too! 2nd and 3rd are totally awesome gears!

to be technical, running a 35 inch tall tire requires 4.56 gears to give you "stock" performance feel, however i run 4.10's without any cause for concern. tows great, pulls fine, cruises excellent. 3.55's would be a bit high in my opinion.

I ran 37's for awhile on 3.55's and that was a very bad idea No power and No mileage. Im on 33's right now and feels good thinking bout 35's though not sure how it be with them

I've heard that about running 3.55's and big tires with the autos. Never had any trouble pulling trailer and boat with loaded truck with my setup though. I had 33's on last winter. That was OK, but Like the taller ones myself. Again, it totally depends on how you are going to use it. If you're pulling 14K or more or doing serious offroading, the lower gearing would be a better idea.

35's and 4.10's would put you close to the same as 3.55's with stock tires.

My friend had a 94 F250 with 39.5's. He was runnin the stock 3.55's, if I were him I woulda regeared but I drove it once and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was a 5 spd though.
I run 38's wtih 4.10's. No complaints, no problems. Im not a hardcore wheeler and I don't run my truck hard though.

Not according to the calculator I use.

4.10's and 35"s give an effective ration of 3.76
