Today I took apart my doors to replace the speakers. I noticed there are no lights or sockets/wires in the door light? My truck is a 2006 f250 crew cab lariat. Did they do away with these lights but leave the lenses in place or did my truck miss a stop along the assembly line? I can't imagine this would be a separate option? Any ideas?
It was just another way for them to cut costs. If you look then you will notice that you are also missing the glovebox light, underhood liner, and the plastic fender liners for the bed. They all used to be standard.
I don't think I would have even noticed if I didn't take the doors apart for the speakers so I'll live without them, I was just curious if I got ripped off, lol.
You can install them with a simple socket & bulb. I plan on doing it down the road when I get bored. I think there's a how to somewhere on this forum.
True for the front door panels...but the rear door panels don't even have an alcove, for the socket to go into...behind the red reflector is just a flat area, so some creativity would be needed, there...
