A Good body man can do a good temp fix i guess. Maby a Bumper to Bumper policy is worth it...

I wonder if it's just a geographical thing. My friend's dad is part-owner of a Ford dealer, so I get all the good info. I have yet to see one in my area that has these cracks. I've seen them on several trucks with upper mileage.
Ford was supposed to have the cracks and the piston slap corrected by the end of the 1999 model year.
