hi guys was wondering if anyone else has had the a problem with reading their codes. i plug my scanner in and keep getting message that says tool not connected. scanner diffently works as i have other fords i checked it on. is there a fuse on something i should be looking for? ive tryed to search this forum but haven't seen this problem anywhere. i guess that means i'm special. by the way it is a 99 f350 with 225,000. so it has a little wearbut what a great truck it has been. thanks jim

 

There is a fuse for the OBD port, but I don't know which one.

 

Check your cigarette lighter. Its on the same fuse. If it doesnt work, then the fuse it blown. That happened to me.

On a 1999 it should be fuse 3 under the dash. A 20A fuse.
