Why are you replacing it? The only real difference between stock converters is the snout size (as I have recently learned). I bet yours is a 1.375" pilot diameter. Unless its a 68-71 crank shaft.

* Because I'd like to know if the old one is the same as the new one or at least interchangeable. I already have purchased and installed a reman and an F49 TC. I'm not a "just forget it" person. I ask things because I want to know.

* I'm not replacing it. I have a problem with the reman I just installed. I have to pull it again so will be able to compare the two converters then. What I'm interested in is if I can get information about the CVC TC I have.
I think there may be a possibility the F49 is NOT correct for this drive train.
Ergo the question I aksed - "Is anyone familiar with these [CVC] numbers?"
