narrow or wide wheel base

Hi I went to NAPA to buy a parking brake cable and they ask me if i had a narrow or wide wheelbase truck. I don't know i said.its a 2001 F350 diesel extended cab single rear wheel 142 inch wheelbase truck.then he said is it narrow or wide. so can you people help me out i need the intermediate cable.

As far as I know, our pickups only came in two widths, SRW and DRW. As to which one is narrower... I don't know.

The guy at napa maybe a moron... That only knows how to read the puter screen. You should have asked him if they were different part #'s for the part. Or just assume that since yours is SRW not dually that would be "narrow"

DRW are narrow and SRW are wider , if you measure both axles from brake to brake.

It does ask for narrow or wide frame for the intermediate cable. LOL I'm still trying to figure out the difference.

I had the same problem, appears the f350s came from factory as full trucks or chassis cabs for box trucks. I dont remember which is which, but one had narrow,one had wide. the dealer was real helpful as to which is which.
