wide or narrow frame?

wide or narrow frame?
I went to auto zone to buy a new intermediate e-brake cable. The salesman asked if my truck is a wide or narrow frame.
I have an 01 cc Lariat with a short bed. Any idea what he is talking about?

I believe it's the cab and chassis pickups that are the narrow frame.

I'm not sure what a cab and chassis pickup is. Is that a flatbed work truck?

Most of the time yes. the cab and chassis trucks have a different frame style to accomodate various arraingements of rear hanging options.

Should be a sticker on the door jamb that states that it was delivered as an incomplete vehicle if it is a cab and chassis.
