After several searches, no luck, so thought I'd ask.
In my 92 5 spd explorer, while shifting, I felt a "click" when releasing the clutch pedal, and subsequently the clutch pedal cannot be pushed in. Had to have car towed home. Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts? My first thought is the slave, but due to Ford's infinite wisdom R/ the concentric slave, this isn't an easy thing to check out. Would appreciate any thoughts you might have.
Thanks,
Jeff
Had that problem with my 96 F-150 in Wyoming. The throw out bearing exploded and spread apart so there was no room for the slave to push it. I'd look under the dash first but I wouldn't bet against the TO bearing.
Changed mine in Walmart's parking lot.
