Yep, I remember spending $5 on a Hemmings that was 2" thick, and spending a couple days going thru it trying to find one thing or another, then calling or writing a letter to someone, waiting a week or more, trying to set up payment and get some photographs mailed to me (no digital back then!), all in all it could take weeks to get some $5 piece.

I try to avoid evil-bay. Prices are usually way to high for a part you can go to town and pick up yourself for a lot less. Or order from one of our old truck suppliers.

I just received an OEM crank pulley from one of the obsolete parts places. They sell for a lot more on ebay than I paid. Plus mine was still sealed in the original FOMOCO box. Never even opened.
