Ok..
update
The rwbuilt carb started leaking at the pump. One of the screws stripped out when removing it. I took some of the new parts and put it in my other carb and sprayed the c out of the inside with carb cleaner.
The distributor is one tooth off but I got it to run finally.
BUT...
I put it in gear and got nothing. I was wondering if the tranny was even good after sitting rebuilt for 5 years. I guess it's bad. Going to get towed to the tranny shop in the spring.

I would check to make sure you have a drive shaft.. Maybe you removed it and forgot..

I would also check the vaccuum line to the modulator on the tranny.. If that is leaking the tranny won't shift..

And like Sean said check the fluid..

The tranny should be bad from just sitting, but if there was moisture in there it could be sticking or rusted..

Zing! Pow! Bam! Doh!

Dan, methinks we're gonna have a tough time livin' this one down.

Btw, dumping a check in the mail tomorrow, or whenever I get through laughing at Don's post.

Well,
Funny thing was that is the first think I checked. I thought I put the drive shaft back on but when I checked it WAS there and bolted it.

Fluid is good and full

I need to recheck the vac line. Might have left it off when playing with the carb(s)

Hey guys, I think we need to have a gtg at my house so we can get my truck started. I could swear I didn't touch it, so it should be a quick fix, then we can have some hot dogs!

Any ideas what might be wrong?

Just a guess, but I think someone stole the motor...

I don't know why, but in this economy anything is possible..

Well, if that's the case, justice will be served in short order. When they fire that thing up, it's gonna sound like the boiler room in a steamship!

Nope. That muffler bearing is fine. Turns without any problem. Only some knucklehead tied it to the rear wheels.
