Thank you all for comming. Both days didn't turn out exactly as planned but it seems to all have worked out. Glad to see you all had fun. Next one will be wormer and more "fun" events. I know Trusty has fun playing in the puddles before taking off. Ken wouldn't let us play in the puddles with the Edge

And a big thanks to Bobby for his knowledge and insight. And that of course trickels down to thank you Don

To clarify. sunday we proved the 2 wrongs do make a right.
The truck did run perfectly fine when pulled. I must have pulled the plug wires as not to damage them when I pulled the motor.

The guy I bought the truck from was a chebby guy and he told me he replaced the points a month before I bought it. Being a chebby guy he put the distributor in 180deg out and when he figured it out he wired it to match the 180deg out. Hence 2 wrongs.

Anyway i got the gaskets and got the truck to cough and got the gas lines hooked up to the mechanical fuel pump again. Now it only runs for a couple seconds by putting gas directly in the carb. I guess I gotta rebuild the carb again. or maybe just pull the jets and clean them up??? Thoughts??

Thanks for the update Dan... Glad to see it has some life..

After burping fire for a few days a rebuild probably wouldn't be a bad idea..

I picket of a can of stuff at Robbins. It's not B12 but seems to be doing the job. The carb doesn't seem to gummed up. I'll be rebuilding it tonight and hopefully it will live for more than 2 seconds at a time.
