Glow Plug Recommendation

I was at Autozoo yesterday and all they sold were the Bosch and Autolite. Is there a better brand I should be looking at? TIA

Motorcraft ZD-11 is the very best.

DO NOT USE THE AUTOLITE's!!! The ends 'mushroom' and then you'll get to take of the heads to replace them... or the tip will break off in to your cylinder.... you don't want that!

The Bosch may be OK, but I'd find the best deal on the Motorcraft's and do that. How often will you need to replace them anyway?

AFAIK, these are original. So, if they last another 100K or 7 yrs, I'm happy. So yes, I will find the best deal I can on them. Just want to know what to get. Some have said Beru and there is supposed to be a hot new one by Borg Warner so I am trying to solicit opinions. TIA

As you can see, the ebay ones look better and better. FOr some reason the price doubled since 8 months ago when I bought mine

Last I checked, that seller had a quantity availabel of like 24. So now it might be a little lower with a couple of you guys buying them. But its a steal, even if you dont need them.

A Reminder

While you are under the VCs doing the GPs don't forget to check the torque on the rocker pedastals and injector hold downs. I put in my penny GPs yesterday and when checking the hold downs and pedastals I found many that needed to be torued to spec.

Is there a "How to guide" for that torquing?

For those of you who do not have the specs on hand, they are:

Rockers: 20 ft lbs
Injector hold down bolts: 10 ft lbs
