driving around my trans will randomly rev up and not engage in gear.
it happens if i keep a steady speed around a turn or town and the step on the gas. the truck will rev up till about 3 grand then bang into gear. after a wihle of this the OD light flashes and it goes into limp mode. the truck will sound as if it were stick and shift slugishly.
i had it flushed and the e pack replaced. when this isnt happening the trans shifts perfect.
after i shut it down and cycle through it will go away
if it goes away after cycling i would think it was the comp. you can have a tranny shop scan it some even do it for free. just hope its not rebuild time.(big $$)
im thinking your tc is slipping. heat will tear into it. how did the trans fluid look when it was flushed? should start slipping when trans is hot. also it depends on what scanner you have. my superchip didnt throw a code on the slipping..just when the od light came on
i would be driving in od and i would accel a little bit and the truck would rev up but not catch. only did it when trans was warmed up. so i would just take it easy on it. after 10 minuted of driving, the od light would start to blink. I had serviced my trans 10k mi before so i know the fluid wasnt bad. brought it to the trans shop and he said tc took a dump.
