Ive decided not to use the Kwik version of the JB weld, i dont want to compromise strength here. It takes 24 hours to cure, and then it should be back up and running again, LOL
But the one cylinder you have left should get you through until you get the next engine ready to go.
What are you waiting for???
Every time i look at this thread i second guess every mod ive done.... I wanna know what rods i really have.
Kris, so sorry to hear about all this ontop of dealing with your leg and everything... If you ever need help or anything, just shoot me a PM and i'll give you my phone number and stuff. Hope all goes well and excited to see whats coming now.

BUT on the other hand theres guys on here with 3x the mods i have and never seem to see an ounce of trouble and im HAPPY for um.. and im HAPPY there here to help when i or anybody else may have a problem so its all good i rekon
The net is sooo slow over here... I just finished reading this and the other thread. But to whoever asked about me re-thinking the Van turbo & SS sticks, I have to say I had to ponder it. BUT, I think I'll go for it. There's only one way find out it mine will blow in the 350-375 range. I really want to get to that 400 mark, but I think I'll stick with the more conservative range for now. If it goes, it goes. Then I build a CTD for it. I look at it this way, if it goes, it was meant to, and a CR Cummins is cheaper than a new truck. If it doesn't, then I'll have fun with it anyway.
That was definately the case for me. I'm typically not very foul mouthed, but I believe there were a few choice words coming out of my mouth when mine blew.

What are you waiting for..check out your peek hole
I was going to say the same thing. Take out your inspection plug, have someone rotate the engine by hand (breaker bar on the balancer), and look to see what you have. If you see bolts on the end of the rod, you have PMR's. If you see a nut on a stud, they're forged.
Yeah, actually my girlfriend was almost in tears because she was so scared at the noise it made, almost like a gunshot when it initially blew and a few more very loud knocks and bangs. I could defanitely hear a rod spinning around greeting a bunch of internal parts. Oil, and water too. Im glad i got my truck out of that parking lot when i did instead of bringing a trailer the next day, because someone would have called the cops, i could have gotten cited for polluting. You all know how "illegal" it is to pour oil and antifreeze down the drain. Well i put about 4 gallons of each on the side of the road in the curb... There was an easy trail to spot from where the oil puddle was to where my truck was...
When my Cat 3208 blew a hole about the size of a volley ball in the block it happened at 70 mph on I-77 North just shy of the WV border. The explosion was so violent I thought I had blown two rear tires at the same time. This is a pusher of course, and I did not realize the engine had gone until I gently applied the brakes and pulled to the shoulder and realized I had no steering. The only reason I still had brakes is because they are air. It left a Hell of a mess on the road and I ended up spending the night there. Got towed the next morning before the EPA or DOT happened along, but I am sure I would have been in trouble for something. 3 months and 16k later I am still enjoying my new engine, when I can afford to put fuel in it........LOL...
Rich, i was using stage two single shots, TN BB, fuel system, i dont know what else matters? I havent done the survey yet, but i will do that.
I've been trying to keep up with the discussions/info about PMR failures on PSN like you and others have. Just trying to see how your situation compared. With all the talk about cylinder pressure, larger than stock nozzles, back pressure, tuning, timing, yada yada yada.....
