One thing to remember is the fact that if this is the exact truck you are looking for, and if you can buy it now at the right price, I would do it. If you wait, you may find that the deal would be no better, and the truck may be gone. Then you would have to take what you could get. Just my .02...................

You can probably do better then that. I bought my 06 Screw 6.5ft bed as a "left over" in 07 and got it for 25.5K before my trade in. It stickered for around 40. The deals are out there. You just need to see how far the dealer is willing to bend.

Lets put this in reverse - what is the value of an 07 FX4 on the used truck market - want to guess - $16 to $19K? So why would anyone want to pay more than a $3k premium for a two year old zero mileage leftover?

I'm in a good postion now- not NEEDING a truck- so, no pressure to buy. I like the reverse market anaylsis from 2veloce. Where is the 16-19K data from- KBB? ?curious?

"Exact" truck- no 90%- the other 10% to make it perfect would be a 6.5 bed.
Maybe more sniffing...sniff, sniff

When I bought my truck in April 06 I NEEDED IT... If I could have waited 3 weeks I would have gotten a $2500 Gas Card!!! If I could have waited 2 months I would have gotten ZERO Percent Finances for 6years/72 months!!!

You are in a good position... and in all honesty.... If you don't take your truck 4wheeling.... do you even NEED the FX4 package? If not the only real difference (aside from Shocks, Skidplates etc..) of an FX4 over the XLT is the Center console shift... oh and with the FX4 and higher models you are forced to go with an Electronic Xfer case...

Right- I do not need 4X4- and my first searches were all XLT's.. then I caught the "fever"
I've had an XLT FSB new since '96... nice. So, yes XLT does fit my needs.

So many great trucks- so little time, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie!!!!!!!!!
