Are the injectors and turbo the same in a 03 and 07? I have a 03 that had new injectors and a turbo installed 5,000 km ago. Now it is going to be parked for parts. I also have a 07 f350 that is starting to give me injector problems. I was wondering if it's worth swapping the new injectors and turbo over to my 07 with 240K on it. Any suggestions
There was some updates over the production years, but the injectors are basically the same (outside dimensions, hold down & harness plug). Since you said you had new injectors installed 5,000 km ago..I'm willing to assume they're the latest style/version. The turbos use a different pedestal and impeller is different. I'm not sure if you could exchange the exhaust housing side between the two turbos. But I'm fairly certain you could swap pedestals between the trucks.
In short, with a little elbow grease...it could/should work.
not sure of the difference but there is one in the injectors.
I particularly have to be aware of this when buying injectors I have an 04 with an 08/03 build, the cut off is 09/03 two different injectors. on the plus side they are always in stock :-).
